Chile delivers a good performance climbing one place to 2nd position among resource and efficiency-driven economies on the Connectivity Scorecard 2011 index. With a score of 6.21, it continues to outperform Latin American peer Mexico (4.87), while the gap to Argentina (5.46) and Brazil (5.14) seems to widen.
Chile is no longer the top scorer in business infrastructure like last year but achieves robust scores in many components. However, its performance in both consumer usage and skills, and business usage and skills components is not as strong as its infrastructure would suggest. This indicates a strong need for efficient utilization of resources.
