Hungary scores well in mobile penetration amongst consumers but suffers from only average levels of internet usage. Unfortunately, consumer habits do not compare favorably to those of the more advanced countries found in the survey. The business side of the connectivity equation is somewhat brighter, thanks to a better share of jobs requiring ICT user and specialist skills. Hungary’s E-Government measure is below average, although their support of broadband connectivity initiatives in schools is promising.
There may not be many bright spots in Hungary’s connectivity rating, but despite their current economic difficulties and other limiting factors there remains the potential for the country to emerge as a stronger player in the ICT sector.
Apart from Poland, consumers in Korea spend the least on software out of all the innovation driven economies
