Overview

Syria (officially the Syrian Arab Republic) is a new entrant to the Connectivity Scorecard. With an overall score of 2.11, Syria ranks 17th among its peer group of 25 resource and efficiency-driven¹ economies. This performance puts it ahead of Egypt, which ranks 20th, but just behind Iran which is in 15th position. Its neighbor Turkey, however, is quite far ahead in 4th position.
